That link that you kindly put on wasn't available when I was looking through the Thompson website. Having said that, even if I'd have got it the subsequent set up procedure you described sounds too complicated for me to sort out, and my friend would have given up on computers for life over it. He's thrown a bit more money at it and it's working now. (touches wooden head)
