Re: 'most frequently used programs list' on start menu missing

Right click on the Start button, select properties. Click on Start Menu tab then the Customise button. This gives you the option for the number of programs on the start menu, which will obviously populate itself as you use programs, it also gives you other options for customising the Start Menu to suit your needs.
