Try this first :

Go to the recovery console again and copy lsass.exe in the \i386 folder on the WinXP CD to \windows\system32 on your hard disk.

Edit. It's just occurred to me that the file may be compressed on the CD, i.e. the extension is .ex_ If it is just rename it to .exe
