I'm not an expert on networking but if you have the IP addressing set to automatic doesn't that mean the clients have to connect to a DHCP server to get a new dynamic IP address? I'm sure I read somewhere that the clients have to have a static address and only the host gets the dynamic address. That could be complete rubbish but it sounds good! Perhaps someone else will join the thread and put me right.
