Thanks for comments. I don't intend to waste anyone's time with this. However, just as a matter of interest, I went on to a music video collection today on my ISP - Virgin. I selected a couple of music video clips and each played perfectly, all the way through !!!
I then tried another site called Wimp. Unfortunately, there are a lot of porn connections on this, although there are also loads of innocent fun videos. I tried a few of these and again, I have this stop / start problem.
I think I will have to put it down as a mystery.
