Image problem

Have resized an image and all was well until i inserted the image into the Webpage. There is a blue mark (like an hypen) next to the image and no matter what i do i can't get rid of it. Have checked and rechecked image code for any stray hypens. I have painted over the blue mark with no success and i have even erased the blue mark only for it to reappear once it is inserted on to webpage. I am convinced it is a code problem and have come across this problem before but can't remember the cure. Could someone help me out here please. Thanks in advance.
