Web Design

Hello,

I am currently designing a web site using Dreamweaver MX. I work using a screen size of 1152 by 864, as I have a big monitor. The problem I have is what is the best size to create my website. Also how do you centre the website so on whatever computer people look at my website it automatically resizes to fit their screen?

If anyone has any suggesstions I would appreciate it.
