Webuser Forums: Corel Photo Album 6 problem

I have a 1-year-old Dell Dimension 5150 which came with a 30-day trial version of Corel Photo Album 6 pre-installed. I found that this suited my needs so I bought the program. All was well until recently when I have started to get error messages when opening the program or trying to open images with it.

I uninstalled it and re-installed it from the CD ROM but the problem still occurs. The error messages are:

"Restore of the database of folder and photo information from the specified backup folder failed.

A new (empty) database will be created for you."

When I click "OK", the message disappears but, when I try to open an image folder, I get this message:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library

Program:...rogram files\Corel\Corel Photo Album 6\Photo Album 6.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

When I click "OK" Photo Album 6 closes.

Can anybody help?
