Monitor.
      Wed Jan 10 2007 11:26 PM

I bought a Samsung totally flat tube CRT monitor for gaming from PC World 4 years ago,its always been a good monitor for gaming (the reason i bought it) no reflection great colours e.t.c.
Over Xmas the screen became narrower horizontally and the text at the left and right edges became blurred.
I had taken out a extra 2 years cover (coverplan) on top of the 3 i got as standard (ok he was pushy and i was new to this).
I phoned and they swapped my monitor for a new one 3 days later , i was at work and when i came home i was gutted to find a the ugliest monitor i have ever seen , its approx 1 inch smaller than my Samsung and the worst thing is the screen is like a gold fish bowl cut in half and its so reflective you could shave in it.
I phoned the call centre and basically have been bounced from department to department , the last rep i spoke to basically said we swapped 1 x 17 inch monitor for another and thats all we can do.
I pointed out that in the T&C's it clearly states "If we cannot repair the product you may request a replacement product, the replacement may be a fully refurbished product,or may be in the form of vouchers to purchase a new product of at least the equivalent specification"
I have been given the coverplan number to phone tomorrow , do i demand vouchers as they don't seem to be able to replace the monitor with one with the same specifications"
