Well the dilema is that my daughter spends a fair bit of time on this PC playing the Sims and is complaining that the graphics are rubbish and she can't see things that she can normally see on her mates PC, and I need to decide whether to just upgrade the graphics card and ram (it's a bit slow when the sims is on) or start to look at replacing mobo, cpu etc.
The PC is approx 3yrs old now and has the following:
System Manufacturer: MSI System Model: MS-6712 BIOS: Version 07.00T Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2000+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.7GHz Memory: 512MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 64.0 MB
In all other respects I'm happy with what I've got as I don't do gaming above space invaders, pacman etc (I know... I'm showing my age here )
If I replace mobo et al, is it worth looking at the various bundles that are about?
