Advent 7084 laptop screen problem

My advent has developed a strange problem; when I open the screen more than 90 degrees it goes black, otherwise it's fine. I believe this is a LCD switch problem. The question is: where is the switch, how do I get to it, and is it easily repairable if say it is dirty?
