Re: Broadband with Sky?

Hi again,
Just to update you, I now have my Sky broadband connection which was the best part of a week overdue. I phoned Sky about the delay and was gearing myself up to kick them into touch before I'd even got their service for the simple reason, they are on a premium rate number and it takes ages to get through the automated phone service then when finally getting to the right department a message would say it would be about 24 minutes before the call would be answered. I wasn't hanging around that long listening to their adverts while I paid the premium rate so hung up. After about 4 attempts at various times I finally got in a queue that was just 3 mins long so I hung on only to be given another number that was supposed to be direct to their tech department. It turned out to be a sales department but at least the woman on the other end did help and managed to tell me BT were running at 3 days overdue, but it was a week for me.
Anyway, finally got the connection yesterday and since then I have had 4 ocassions where I've not had a connection when I opened my browser. I really hope that's just one of their teathing problems because if it carries on too long they won't be keeping me as a customer.
I got the impression there was going to be loads of things available at their site but after actually logging in it was very disapointing. I could read the news or find out what's on telly.
I don't know what speed I've got (don't know how to find out) but it feels a bit faster than the connection I had with Virgin.net
I can't say too much more as I haven't had it long enough but with the missing connection on 4 ocassions in less than 24 hours my first impression is [Insert expletives here].
