Webuser Forums: Aol dialer wacko!!!

Running XP Home and having problem with AOL dialer. I'm not sure if there are any users of this type on the other side of the pond or GB/UK, but I thought I'd post since I'm at a dead-end in trying to get results in the US and thought posting couldn't hurt. Here it goes.
Keep getting:
Aoldial.exe-entry_point_not_found (or Aol.exe)
"?SetModeTBlockCipher@xprt@@QAEXW4ECipherMode@12@@Z could not be located in the dynamic library xprt5.dll"

Every time I start the computer I get this message in a series of 5-7 centered boxes (X's) in middle of screen as my computer loads all it’s applications and software.

Had been also getting something like:
Aoldial dll error
"Xprt5.dll could not be found in dynamic library"

Have done everything including de-re-installing (2-3 times) all new AOL software, all Beta editions, and deleting folders as well as anything with "AOL" in it, and sent to recycler, cleared caches and all temps, disk clean, and defragmented, as well as virus/spyware/ad-aware and CC Cleaner to no avail.
Also attempted system restore several times and last good configuration and even XP icon and other fixes/patches and PnP options.
Aol chat has given standard rebuild adapter and re-configure and rebuild and delete options, again to no avail.

Everything works as normal as expected, but dialer will not allow to connect to IE only (it's subtabs do not function properly) except for about 2 seconds with modem, and then disconnects. When I go on with AOL, everything is ok though.
Any ideas?
