Apologies for wrong max RAM. 1GB appears to be your limit.
You could remove both sticks of existing RAM and install the one stick of 1GB.
This however may be more expensive than 2 sticks of 512.

Please don't think that installing extra RAM will in your words make it a super-fast computer. . . . . if only!
