error 6003

hi,
can anyone help me with this error mesage that appears on startup?
install shield wizard.
setup has experianced an error.
please do the following-
close any running programs
empty any temporary folder
check any internet connection (internet-based setups)
then try to run the set-up.
ERROR CODE: -6003.
a search on google brought me to a site owned by a company called AVID!
i have never heard of this site, so im bewildered as to how it appeared!
nothing has affected my system. just annoying.
my o/s is win xp pro s/p 2.
