No idea about Yahoo, but for Hotmail.

Goto Tools-> Accounts->Add Mail->Enter Your Name->Then Your Hotmail Addy->Then Where it says My Incoming Mail Server is a... Select HTTP in the drop down box-->Enter Your Password and away you go

-> Means click next or OK

Admit nothing, deny everything and make counter-accusations
