Hi
I'm trying to set up a wireless network for a friend. He has a BT Voyager 205 ADSL router. This has been configured with NAT enabled and DHCP disabled. He has purchased a Mentor WL-R4RII wireless router that he wants to use to share the internet connection between his desktop (via wired LAN) and laptop (via wireless). The Mentor is connected via RJ45/CAT5 crossover cable from the WAN port to the ethernet port on the Voyager. The desktop is connected via RJ45/CAT5 straight cable to one of the 4 LAN ports on the Mentor wireless router. The Voyager goes into a microfilter and into the phone line.
The Mentor has been configured to have IP address 192.168.1.10 and the Voyager to 192.168.1.1. I can ping the wireless router from the PC, but not from PC to the Voyager. I can't get internet at all, and I can't ping any external IP addresses.
Has anyone set up anything similar? Anything that I'm doing wrong? Should I try to disable NAT on the Voyager router and just set up the wireless router with NAT and DCHP?
Thanks in advance
