Internet trouble
      Wed Mar 23 2005 08:21 AM

I've recently bought a second hand laptop and when I've tried to connect to the internet via my service provider (UK Online) the modem connects and I get a message saying "UK Online now connected". The problem is that it will not display any of the web pages, and it suggests I have to set it up to "automatically detect settings" which I have done but still no joy.
The laptop used to access the internet fine before I got it, because I've witnessed it working. The only thing is the laptop could've been used on a LAN connection.
Can anyone help please?
