Hi, I desperately need to solve this problem. its driving me nuts!
Ok, I have an ASUS E608 Dvd rom and Ive installed the latest media 10 and the PowerDvd 6 standard. I have a NVIDIA GeForce4 Mx 440 and I've already updated the driver. I also have on my windows xp a Divx player and a codec for a video as well. My dvd can play only VCDs but when I try and play a dvd that I purchased from a store it keeps coming up with copyright error. I've already set it to play region 4 so there shouldn't be a problem with a region settings on my dvd. Windows media player 10 had a copyright error saying :"Windows Media player cannot play the Dvd because a problem occured with digital copyright protection" and powerdvd 6 seems to be having trouble playing it - like when I press play it looks like its starting to read it but something stops it which is probably the copyright thing. Before I had powerdvd xp4 version and that showed me the same thing until I installed the new version which won't play the thing at all... I dont' know what else to do. I've got the windows media classic and I've tried numerous other things like NVIDIA player but nothing seems to work. IS something wrong with my dvd player or something else? Everyone else I know says it works fine for them with powerdvd and all.. please help,
Thanks, Elga
p.s specifically Media player says this error: "C00D1163: A problem occurred with digital copyright protection"
