Fix size of logo in Signature on e-mail

As part of my e-mail signature I have incorporated a logo which is in jpg form. I have sized this down from the original and when I view it before sending it looks fine. However I have noticed that on occasions when I get a reply the size has reverted to the original. How can I get the reduced size to stay constant? I use Office Outlook 2003, Vista OS and plus net is my ISP.

You don't say say how you are creating your signature and inserting the jpg in question.

This link -->>Create signatures with pictures or logos<<-- is the official line which works OK for me.
It assumes that the inserted image is the correct size as it is the one it will use.

There is also a link within that page which advises on how to -->>Insert a signature in a message<<--

I apologise if this advice is in fact how you do create your signature, but there are some folks who insert manually text and an image in every email they send as part of the body of that email.
This of course does show the intended wording and/or image, but it's not the method used for a more automated 'signature'.

I haven't had this problem but if I did I'd put the logo into paint, go to attributes, get it the size I wanted and resave as Jpeg.

Is that pretty much what you are doing?

I'm afraid using the attributes method will only 'crop' the image in question.
If anybody has to use Paint, you would Click on the Image Menu and select Stretch/Skew Image.
Choose a percentage figure to resize the image. To avoid distortion, choose the same percentage for the horizontal and vertical stretch.
Click OK.
It's advisable to 'Save as' to create another file rather than 'Save' which will overwrite the original.
