outlook express/windows mail problem part 2

please can someone help me again?

doing it as an administrator I unticked the "read only" in all folders/subfiles and was able to transfer from windows xp and oe all my outlook express emails on the new windows vistsa pc in a folder - all my old emails are now listed as DBX files.

The problem is m/soft online instructions -how to now get these DBX's into windows mail but this transfer does not work so I cannot open or read any of my old outlook express emails. Please can someone help me? I need access to my old emails but how to complete this transfer into windows mail?

(by the way all my old outlook express addresses transferred to windows mail perfectly. Also I am sticking with windows mail and not windows live mail)
