Skype upgrade query

I've realised that there is a newer version of Skype that I'm being prompted to install. My concern is whether or not I'll lose all my saved Instant Messenger conversations if I upgrade to the new version. I have all my conversations going back several months with various contacts and I need to be able to continue to have access to them. I can't copy and paste them, there's just too many of them.

Has anyone recently upgraded? If so, was your history kept intact?
