Default removing IE8

Hi guys,

quick question, how the fudge do I get rid of IE8 in win7? I wasn't given a choice as to whether or not I wanted it (IE8 that is) and since I don't want it and it's not listed in the control panel how do I get rid of it (or should i just pretend it doesn't exist?)

Thanks,

Ray

I think you'll just have to "pretend it doesn't exist"!

Internet Explorer has always in the past been installed as part of the operating system and is closely integrated with Windows Explorer. When upgraded to a later version, there has been the option to "roll back" to a previous version, but this could only be done back to the originally installed version. Total removal wasn't possible.

Thanks for the info, maybe when I'm comfortable with Win7 I'll remove Vista and the do a fresh install of Win 7 and hopefully I'll never see IE8 again, but in the meantime, once again thanks.
