Default Recommendations for a Calendar please

I have been using Works Calendar for 9 years and find it fits my needs. However, I want to uninstall Works and understand that the Calendar cannot stand alone.

Can anyone suggest a calendar which is not online as I'm sometimes in places where I have no internet access. The features which are important to me are: reminders on start up and well as throughout the day, recurring appointments, being able to export in a readable form for back up (the Works Calendar can be saved and opened as an Excel spreadsheet). I don't need it to be linked to emails or mobile phones.

My OS is XP Home and I shall be using MS Office 2003 only when I've uninstalled Works.

Thank you.

Anne

If your version of MS Office 2003 includes "Outlook", that has a Calendar with reminders.

Thank you for pointing that out. I'd never noticed that program and, if I had, would probably have thought it was something to do with Outlook Express. I'll now find out how to use it.

Another option is Mozilla Sunbird - I've been playing with it recently and it looks pretty good.
