Lost Avatar
The forum software seems to have "lost" my avatar and if I upload it again, the change isn't saved.

Re: Lost Avatar
Mike, it seems that the image is broken, is the pic online or on your machine?

Re: Lost Avatar
I've uploaded it again and it seems to have saved the setting this time. Thanks.

Re: Lost Avatar
Avatar has disappeared again and forum software won't display a freshly uploaded copy.
...just have to wait, as last time, until the forum feels like displaying a new copy, but there is clearly a bug somewhere.

Re: Lost Avatar
Forum won't accept avatar uploaded from Mac as GIF, won't accept it uploaded from Windows as GIF or JPG.
Will accept URL to another site, but displays it incorrectly as an 80x80 square instead of its correct size of an 80x49 rectangle.

Re: Lost Avatar
Yes, but it's not right. It seems that any Avatar set up by entering a URL is automatically resized to 80x80 pixels square. Previously, I had uploaded the pic file directly from my computer and this displayed correctly as an 80x49 pixels rectangle. At the moment, the forum software refuses to accept a pic file uploaded directly from the computer.
I notice that, where other users are displaying avatars, these have in almost every case been "resized" to 80x80 square and this is mentioned in the file's Properties.
