Default Forgetful Firefox

Hi

Firefox is forgetting stuff! Kind of. My home page is "iGoogle", where I am signed in, and whenever I turn on my PC and start up Firefox, there is my personalised page. Also, for example, I am permanently signed in to the forum of my Cod4 clan, so whenever I visit the site, I'm already logged in.

However today, with no apparent reason, Firefox has started to forget all this when you close it down. I've checked in the options, and all the saved sign-ins and passwords are still there, and whenever I click "sign in" on google or the above mentioned forum, the details pop up, but if I close Firefox and re-open in, I'm signed out of everything again. As far as I know, no alterations have been made to any settings, so any ideas what is causing this?

Thanks

Andy

Hi all, I seem to have had exactly the same problem for the last few days.

No amount of reboots is fixing this.

Avast & MBAM scans show nothing.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Mugsy.

Maybe this thread would be a good place to check?

Hi Madelaine...Thanks for that...

That's actually my thread on the FFX Forum

The advice was sound though....

The cookies.sqlite folder was corrupted...

renamed it cookbak.sqbak

And all is good...

Cheers Mugsy

I wondered if it might be you as the thread name was the same and the user name was similar! It's good to know that you've got it sorted now.

Being a lazy so & so, I also copy & pasted LeedsPilgrim's entire post....Just changing the Homepage & Forum Name

Cheers Madelaine!

Well it worked, so it was a good time saver and it explained the problem. I think you did the most sensible thing!
