Virus and losing the will to live!!!!!!!!

Please help.....i have been getting constant threat warnings from AVG that I have a malware virus called WIN32/patch. I have tried t get rid of it by running spybot and adaware and of course AVG, When i reboot i get the same warning poping up. I am not very techy and there is alot I do not understand so if anyone can help they need to spell it out for me as I have never had to do anything like this before.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from <font color="#2E8B57">Here</font>.

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

I now have a new problem that when i turn the machine on it will not load microsoft. I just goes into a continual reboot. pleas help

will it boot up in </font> SAFE MODE with networking ?

Bricat as I said I am not very techy so I don't know what that means. I get to the black screen with the microsft windows xp name in the middle of the screen. It then switches off and reboots again. So I don't get to the screen where I click on my icon to load my settings. The only options it gets as soon as it starts up is to is press f10, esc and f12 to boot from LAN.

Bricat I tried to reboot in safe mode with networking but the same thing happens. It just gets so far and then starts to reboot.

If it won't boot up it doesn't leave us many options.

If you have an XP disc all i can suggest is that you try a REPAIR INSTALL of XP.

I have reinstalled windows and hopefully I have returned to position before the virus. I dont get the popup from avg and all my settings are there.

Should I still download the malware program you suggested and and redo a hjt file.
