Default Why my IE8 displays "webpage errors message" on selected sites? Help pls!

My default browser is Firefox and I rarely use IE. This displaying of "webpage error message" whenever I open selected sites in IE has been going on for maybe 2-3 months already but that doesn't bother me because my browsing is fine with Firefox. But if someone can help me troubleshoot this "webpage error message" whenever I open selected sites in IE then I'll be really happy. The error message looks like this for netvibes.com. It also displays "webpage error message" whenever I open stumbleupondotcom and also in techrepublicdotcom. No "webpage error message" for webuser, youtube, ebay and facebook. Those are just some of the sites I frequently visit...I suspect there would be more sites where the "webpage error message" will appear whenever I open them in IE. Is there some settings I have to change? Thanks!

Next time you get the error remove the tick from the box that says 'Always show this message for web page errors.' The errors will still be there but IE will not tell you about them. You might also want to go to IE, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced and make sure you've have got a tick against 'Disable script debugging' and no tick against 'Display a notification about every script error.'

Hi greysts, thanks for the reply! I've followed your advice...no more "webpage error message" window coming up on those sites...but as you said "the errors will still be there" as evidenced by the message on the lower left corner of the monitor. What exactly are these errors? How come when I open those sites in Firefox no problem whatsoever? Can I correct it on my part or is it the website's shortcomings and leave it as it is? It is exactly my desire to learn about those error messages on certain websites that is why I put a check on "Always show this message for webpage errors" but I cannot comprehend the error details/messages.

Basically they are telling you that you are looking at an error in the coding of a web page. For example, the stumbleupon error page is saying that on Line 668 at character No. 26 the expected link to an object can't be found. It's not something that you can do anything about as the error is in the web page itself. As to why in IE and not in FF I'm not really sure. Perhaps a web page designer could tell us.
