Default plato media player

Hi all- been reading mag for 4 years- good and getting better! Just to say that when I downloaded 'plato' media player, I did'nt get option to uncheck installation of 'relevant knowledge'- noticing it was trying to access the web on next boot i uninstalled using 'revo' uninstaller. (I only found these facts due to my mcafee security) Also I noticed that it was a seperate installation- surely this sort of spyware should be illegal- or at least illegal not to offer the 'non-install' option?

Hi Tony,

Sorry you didn't like Plato Media Player. As we say in the magazine, during set-up you should be presented with a screen that allows you to decline the installation of RelevantKnowledge, as below:

Unfortunately some good free software is bundled with other programs as a means of supporting its development but we would never feature one in the magazine that didn't let you opt out of their installation.
