Default How to show new windows as tabs at top of page?

Hi!
I recently returned to Windows XP as I much prefer it to Vista.
One thing I miss, however, is the way, with vista, ever time you brought up a new page, it showed as a tab at the top of the screen, rather than a row of names at the bottom, as XP does.
I have searched in vain for a download or reg add on that with do this.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks
Jo

Presumably you're referring to "tabs" in Internet Explorer?

XP's original version of Internet Explorer is "6" so if you update to IE7 or IE8, this will give you tabbed browsing. Alternatively, Mozilla Firefox has tabbed browsing.

Default Thanks Mike!

Downloaded IE8, as you recommended, and now have my tabs! Also gained some useful new browsing extras, so am a very happy bunny!
Thanks for taking the time to help me.
Jo
