Default Walagata Problem

I have had a Walagata image hosting account for approximately 5 years now. For some months now I have been unable to upload or delete images from my main account. The sub accounts I have created work fine. I have e-mailed the support team twice in the last month & had no response. The e-mail address they hold for me is current & is my NTL one. The problem has not been fixed either. This is the error message I get when trying to delete an image after I press the 'confirm deletion button:

Warning: unlink(/home/walagata/public_html/w/chrisand/12.jpg) [function.unlink]: Permission denied in /home/walagata/public_html/view_fns.php on line 1235

Can anyone help?

Hi Chrissyan. I also am a Walagata user and, at the moment, don't have any problems.

I am however confused by your terminology. What do you actually mean when you refer to your 'Main Account' and later your 'Sub Accounts' ? Are these what Walagata calls 'directories' ?

Sorry, yes the directories, it's only the main one that I can't do anything with, no idea why & no idea why they don't answer my e-mails.

The following suggestion would no doubt prove tedious - depending on how many files we are talking about.

Create yet another 'sub directory' perhaps entitled 'Mk 2 Main Directory'. Move all the items to it. See if they can then be deleted in the normal way. If they can you have at least proved that the problem isn't related to the files themselves.

Finally - move each file back again - into the Main Directory proper and delete the sub-directory you created. The other solution of course is 'live with the irritation'.

Their lack of answering your e-mails seems like simple rudeness and a bit symptomatic of an organisation in a mess and typical of the age we live in.

Thanks, just checked I can't move them either, no error message comes up, they just don't move. I have clicked on the [function unlink] on the error message I get when trying to delete my files it comes up with the following:

[i]The requested URL /function.unlink was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
