Hi,

I would like to have my own online charity website; selling both new and secondhand goods. I wonder if anyone can suggest a suitable web site builder. I do not want to have it professionally designed because I want total control and also I would enjoy doing the creative side. However I am also mindful of the cost to myself of hosting etc. I do not want to go down the ebay route due to fees,etc!!

Very nice to hear that you would build a site for charity.
I know exactly what you mean i had the same problem.
Wanted to make a website but without paying much money and i would have the control too.
I found this site klick here first i couldn`t belive it, but after i tried it it was just great.
You can make your own webpage on thath online-service for free.
You have the control over all there many very nice themes that you can use and you can create the site individiual with over 1000 buttons and things.
There you get a full package the webhost with the admin panel where you can edit everything you want, the website maker with that you can easily create and edit your website all the time.
I mean it`s for free so you can try it.

It does cost £19.99 a year for the begginers edition, but the way you build your website is ever so easy. It gives you a domain name and web building tools which require no coding whatsoever, however I believe there are options to add custom code. It comes with a secure paypal shop service so you can sell up to 99 items at a time.

If the space and features of the basic package don't suit the purpose of your site then you can upgrade to one of the two other versions which offer more features and bandwith etc.
