Default Windows 7 Removal

I recently installed the Windows 7 trial, but not trusting Microsoft I installed it onto a diferent hard drive however, now that I wish to remove it I find that the only way was to delete it from my hard drive manualy, herein lies the problem, Windows created a dual boot system so that when I start my computer I am presented ( in a DOS startup screen ) the option to boot into Windows 7 or an older operating system ie Windows XP, now I find that this message shows up every time I start my computer even after removing Windozy 7, I have searched my hard drives for any .bat Ms config files and any thing else ( including show hidden files ) I can think of but, nothing. So if any one out there could help me I would be very gratefull.

Win 7 and Vista use bootmgr but XP uses boot.ini. You will have to boot to the XP Recovery Console to correct the booting:

1. Boot from the XP CD and select the first repair option (R) which will take you to the Recovery Console.
2. Type fixmbr and press Enter.
3. Type fixboot and press Enter.
4. Restart the computer.

If asked, type Y to the continue message.
