Hi ive got some video footage that i have taken and i want to put it on "DVD" the problem is its too big is there a "Free AVI Splitter" [img]/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

Download & install VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod.
Make sure 'Direct Stream Copy' is selected under both Video and Audio
File-Open Video File (load your avi)
With the slider at the beginning - press the HOME key
Now either, drag the slider, hold down Shift and drag the slider or use the arrow keys to get more precise until the place where you want to stop.
Press the END key
The section between HOME and END should be blue
File-Save As
After saving you'll be back at the main screen
The end of the first bit you split off is probably the start of the next bit so press HOME again and END where you want to stop, then File-Save As.
Continue doing this until you've split it into the sections you want.

The process will be like this HOME-ENDHOME-ENDHOME-ENDHOME-END
