Default Changing the search provider /Home page in IE7.0 Query

I Know the Post are gatering momwmtum in this section and I don'rt want to steal any one credit if they have posted advice on the Subject of How to change Search providers (and the Homepage )on IE 7.0

I have made 2 massive postings on another forum with the exact details to Chance over to another Serch service and it ended up as a Master class
FYI All version of Internet Explorer home page can be swapped in The Internet options section bur IE7.0 Seems like It can do the same but Fails! Hence a long route workaround is required (actually 2) So I have learnt some new things as well while gaining a few search engines as Spare search facilities while working out how these methods worked

So the question Is do you want me to Point you toward my other link or copy paste it onto here ...with heavy edits
Or C) Has this beem posted before?...Make for a good workshop article
I await your reply

As you wish But If anyone wants to PM me on how to do it then I will share the information. Have seen queries on forums other than my local group, asking about this and the IE 5.5 & IE 6.0 Methods were offered as answers ,But the Method on IE7.0 is Totally Different. Admittedly the old way is still there and it sometimes does work for Changing the Homepage over. But does it remain saved to your next visit? Which is what I and a friend had when setting up IE7.0 on New XP accounts. We both wanted Google ,we both changed it to the Google Homepage via Intenet Explorer Options ...run OK until we logged off but when we returned there is the MSN Live Search Home page staring at us again
So I spent a few hours trying out the way of altering the Home page over with IE7.0
Found there is actually 4 different ways. 2 of which do work, and the other 2 have a 50/50 chance of working when you log on again

All I did was added Zuula to the list and clicked 'Make default'. It is now my IE7 search engine. Quite simple, unless I misunderstood your post.

WW I and my friend both use ISPs that "share the IE browser"(in my case AOL)
And It produces an error message when we try to add more search engines Hence that is why I have had to tell people about these other routes.
And If you are not "tied" (As you are) The old 1 click method does work still

Have you considered in switching to Mozilla Firefox or Opera because maybe your ISP doesn't share them browsers

I have a BT Yahoo shared browser. I just don't use it as my default, I use plain IE7. Unless AOL have a weird set up I can't see the problem.

WW
I find that if I go from IE proper to AOLs Ie controls AOL are set to google.com (and gets that when asked) yet when I open IE proper It shows Live search then after all the hassle of getting it to change to Google .com It starts showing up as Google.co.uk so I cannot get the link I want still ...And both the links are set to Google.com

And I had the very same issue with IE6!
