unable to uninstall speedtouch 330 usb modem

i have recently installed a router via ethernet and thought i would uninstall my usb modem drivers (speedtouch 330)as i no longer connect this way to the net but even though i have tried to remove them via add/remove when i reboot its still there.could anyone give me advice on getting them off my system please.thank you

Is it still connected to one of your USB ports?

No i have removed it and now use the router to connect to the net.

OK, whereabouts is it showing? Is it an icon on the desktop or in one of the toolbars?

its showing on the task tray

In that click on Start, Run and type in MSCONFIG. Click OK and then find the entry relating to your USB modem and remove it.

I don't suppose you've upgraded to Vista of late have you?

I was doing some testing using some beta drivers for Vista recently that the Speedtouch guys gave me and had a similar problem.
