Default McAfee Version 8

I am running McAfee Internet Security Suite Version 8. I installed IE7 and then found I was having problems with the McAfee Privacy Version 8. When I was booting my PC, it was stating there was missing components and that the database was corrupt and that I would have to uninstall McAfee Privacy to reinstall again. I then removed IE7 and back to using IE6 again. I have had to remove McAfee Privacy Version 8 only to reinstall it again.

I have been told by McAfee that Version 8 was not compatible with IE7 and would have to upgrade to the latest software. Now I am told that I can reinstall IE7 again and that i will have no further problems.

My question is, Is McAfee Privacy Version 8 compatible with IE7 and if so what do I have to do to ensure that McAfee will run without problems. The problem is that Microsoft are rolling IE7 with the Windows updates shortly, what will I do then?

Any advice would be appreciated

Gary , your first statement said that ....I have been told by McAfee that Version 8 was not compatible with IE7. You then go on to say that....Now I am told that I can reinstall IE7 again and that i will have no further problems.

I'm wondering..... who said you can reinstall again ?

I think the new McAfee Internet Security Suite 2007 is compatable with it only.

If I'm not mistaken.

I know the 2007 McAfee is a right resource hog! There is a free trial you can download and see if it works.

I havent had a chance yet to test it.

McAfee v 8 now supports IE7, you should have no problems installing it.
