Default Homechoice Networking

Firstly I have only setup one wireless network on pipex before using wireless belkin adsl modem/router and then connecting this to filter which in turns go through the phone line, then putting in my username and passoword on the belkin router and hey presto i can share internet wireless.

But with homechoice I am confused as there is a RJ45 connection which comes out of the box,

1. Is it true I that I need to connect the pc via cable to the homechoice box and use the pc's access point for internet sharing for everyone else in the house?
2. is the belkin wirelss adsl router modem I have useless
3. What equiptment should I have to get the internet working on just one pc for now, because the engineer left nothing not even a CD which I keep reading about on the installation notes or any kind of filters,

thats it for now, but I am sure more will follow,

thanks

I too have this problem, i have tried using 3 different routers, 1 x standard adsl modem router, 1 x broadband router only and 1 wireless modem router. i cannot seem to get out to the net on any other pc than my master pc. i have tried using the 2nd lan socket on my pc also to do an ICS but that wont work either - the second pc seems to default to a microsoft ip address (169.254.xx.xx). i have also removed the set top box and tried mac spoofing the homechoice box but this does not work either (homechoice dont use the mac addys so it dont make a difference so i have since found out). I am running xp pro and have installed the netbui as this isnt part of the standard windows install anymore. have been at it for about 1 week now and cant seem to find a solution. any advice would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks.

I figured it out. I bought a standard wireless router and plug it into the set top box via RJ45 cable. Then logged onto the router configured it and now it works fine, using all the standard settings of the router and theonly thing i changed was setting 128bit wep encryption,

thanks
