I 'm an experienced Searcher with 100's of Hours and 1000's of links logged
And Recently Google has been quietly rolling out new ways to Display and whittle Down Results I don't know if I have the Full set But the Link layout varies between searches
Basically takes a second to access these links Say you have started a Search and the results are Showing and you want to Know More about the Links without clicking on them You can see the URL and brief Descriptive text ...Don't touch the Link yet Don't touch the Links at the Top of the Page! Instead Click on the "Show Options"/button link in the top left Corner of the Search results frame The Frame Slips sideways revealing a Big Menu here to experiment with At the Foot of this list it'll have these Items Displayed(recent additions) Quote:
All results › Visited pages Not yet visited › Standard view Related searches Wonder wheel Timeline › Standard results Images from the page Fewer shopping sites More shopping sites Page previews Reset options
Those I Have Highlighted are those you will find easiest to use Note the "Reset options" link at the Bottom if you get the Links messed up 2 Postscripts A) The "Page previews" Link expands the Page Text Link and Shows a Thumbnail view of the Webpage 2ndly The "Visited Pages" Link if it shows? Draws on all the Archived Pages you have Visited If you have the Google Web History Program Active (Need a Google account for this) www.google.com/history Tip: Limit it to Searches only and Don't download the Google Toolbar, make a Favourite out of the Link instead
