Erratic cursor behaviour.
      #434924 - Sun Jul 19 2009 12:41 PM

I am the webmaster of a classic tractor website www.dbtc.co.uk and we have recently been encountering a problem with strange cursor movements/behaviour by our Members who are using Vista. It may be associated with updates to IE8 or indeed with updates to our software. We use PostNuke to run the site which includes a Forum and because my fellow Administrator and I are only really enthusiastic amateurs we enlist the help of a PostNuke professional.

The condition manifests itself particularly when making replies to Forum posts. When you have "filled" the box with text in the reply then instead of going on to further lines the cursor keeps jumping up the screen so that you are never able to see anything other than the amount of text that has filled the box.

It is difficult to explain but in essence if your reply is a lengthy one, such as when the questioner has asked for help on a mechanical issue and you have to go further than the original text box it beccomes impossible to give a coherent answer unless you construct the answer in Notepad and copy and paste.

Everything works perfectly in XP and even with Vista if using FireFox.

Would anyone have the slightest idea what might be wrong please ?

Thank you in advance for any help.
