Delete music

My mp3 won't let me delete any music, it keeps coming up with 'cannot delete,the storage is write-protected'

What's the mp3 you talk of?

Can you emphasise exactly what it is you're doing?

It is a Redgroove, I am putting into usb port on my Acer Aspire 7520, bringing up the music via 'computer, F drive' and then trying to delete from my laptop, this is when the message comes up saying cannot delete etc
