I downloaded a few games for my sat nav and unzipped them onto my desktop, mistake I know, and ended up with a lot of icons all over the the desktop. I managed to delete all of them except one which refuses to go. It is showing that there is `o` bits to get rid of but the delete box will go on forever if I don`t cancel it, leaving the icon still there. I have tried to drag it into the recycle bin but it does not want to go. Any ideas?

Sometimes just rebooting your machine will 'release' the item to be deleted normally.

Try starting in Safe Mode then try delete from Desktop.
