Realtime Protection
      #433810 - Mon Jul 06 2009 07:30 PM

I was reading an article a while ago and I'm sure it said not to have real-time protection turned on for more than one of your anti-malware/spyware programmes.
I have Ad-Aware and Windows Defender installed, is it a bad idea to have real-time protecton turned on for both? If not, which one would be best to turn off?

If you have more than one application running in "real time" then there is a fair chance of some conflict , so i would suggest turning one off. As to which one , well i don't think there's a great deal between them. In fact if you're using a antivirus prog that has real time protection , eg Avast , you could argue that it'd be safe to use this option on it's own.
