Editing the All Programs | Start Menu in Windows XP is required when the menu covers the screen and not all programs are visible. You can manually edit the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs folder but what about a simple program that does the work for you. Install Tidy Start Menu, put it to work and insert checkmarks for each program category, 10 minutes tops. Also available is Vista Start Menu which is for Vista and XP too.
