Outlook
      #433469 - Wed Jul 01 2009 06:34 PM

I had MS Office Outlook 2007 installed on my desk top which has recently died on me, probably the HDD and it was running XP.

I have now set up my Laptop as my main PC which is running Vista and installed Outlook on that but it will not run.

Whenever I try a pane pops up saying " The application failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Reinstalling mat fix this problem".

Well I have done that and it is no different and I have not a clue what MSVCR80.dll is.

Can anyone help at all with this problem.

Try inserting your Office 2007 install disk, then go to 'Add/Remove' components, then expand Outlook, expand Outlook 'Add-ins', then make all of the 'Add-ins' not available.

This may help you with your problem.

Thanks for the tip Fusion. I tried it but it did not work. However I also have a Samsung Netbook running XP and Outlook has installed without a hitch so it seems Vista has a conflict with Outlook 2007. Or vice versa.

Thanks anyway
