Biggest shop in town ...smallest choice and Poor Value
      #432421 - Sat Jun 13 2009 04:16 AM

There is a computer parts retailer 2 bus rides from our House who claims to Have the Biggest choice of Motherboards and Processors in Town on their web site
I Looked in out of Curiosity and Had a Massive shock
The Majority of Component suppliers (In my "travel" area) Can muster Perhaps 50 Plus Motherboards and almost the Entire range of popular Processors Regardless of location
But When I looked at this retailer In a very good area of town to sell these by the caseload ...Their "stock" was 4 Motherboards 2 for AMD 2 for Intel and they were low tech. All were bar 1 Matx sized/cut down versions(and the price was on the High side) and...Processors Their highest spec CPU was a 4 core Phenom but it was almost Bottom of the range Speedwise! (I left the Site sharpish)
Only the naive will shop at that store!
Note I am not naming the shop Only good Value lines they do is in older components.I got a cheap hard drive caddy from them.
Any Newer Components (and far Cheaper) Will be sourced from Suppliers that are Still within My travel zone, but do have Good reputations /Come up High on Google Products ,and some do advertise!
