Deleting history in Search drop down box
      #344105 - Fri Apr 20 2007 12:12 AM

Hi, probably a simple solution but I don't know the answer.
My computer is loaded with windows Vista, IE7 and Virgin as my internet home page.
When I begin to type a website in the search box, as soon as I type the first letter, a drop down box appears showing the websites that I have previously visited.
How do I stop this box appearing?
I have set IE7 to not keep details of previousl visited sites for more than one day via the advanced section in internet history.
Any help appreciated

Hi dubwarrior2 , open IE and click on tools > Internet options > click on the content tab > under the heading "auto complete" click on the settings tab > remove the tick from the "web addresses" box > OK.

Hi mate, thanks.
Have done that and it works, deleting the address bar at the top of the screen.
The box that I meant, is the search box on the Virgin media homepage.

Follow the previous instructions and uncheck the "forms" box.
