I keep getting http://127.0.0.1:1037/bug.cgi and bug.cgi errors on various pages like ebay and yahoo. These errors appear to be blocking an image or something.. What could be the cuase of this?

I also get:

You are not authorized to view this page

You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied

HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden

I use IE 6.0

IP address 127.0.0.1 is your own computer

127.0.0.1 is the loopback address in IP. Loopback is a test mechanism of network adapters. Messages sent to 127.0.0.1 do not get delivered to the network. Instead, the adapter intercepts all loopback messages and returns them to the sending application. IP applications often use this feature to test the behavior of their network interface.

Rather useless information. Where's the answer? And that's not that person's ip address.

Touche, Mr. Fife,
Actually I figured out the problem. And it was with the ad blocker part of my firewall, eTrust EZ firewall. I went into the Cookie Control, custom, and unclicked "Disable Web bugs"... after that, broken images -- at various sites --returned. Now that's at least a little added some value to the discussion. And you've gotta admit, Ciscokid's added "not."

You're missing the point.
Whether you percieved the reply you got to your original post, good, bad or indifferent your answer certainly showed no signs of festive cheer.

The advice given on this forum costs nothing.....the same price as good manners.

Hmm. I guess I have. But I thought exchanging information was the point? You sure are a fussy Fifeflyer i see. Do you tut-tut the tourists as they tramp about the kingdom, too?
In any case, Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year!

This thread has gone off topic and as Dion isn't getting any more positive feedback and hasn't returned to reply since November I'm going to lock it.
