I am with Wanadoo (nee Freeserve) and I think they are great. I have had no connection problems and it serves me well for what I want.

Other mentions go to BT, Freedom2Surf and Pipex

If you are still connecting Via the AOL 9.0 Browser then Ring AOL Member support and Ask them to Help connect you via the DialBB link Once this is done you open the DialBB connection press "Connect" and you are on line via Internet Explorer (Like the Router connection (which is "Always On"))
I have only had 1 server side downtime since I started using this. Up time is 99% (odd slow session)
And the Gold service is only worth having if you have the Telephone Service and Download Massive Files regularly.
Downgrading to Silver(1.1 MB) Makes Little Difference (save a Tenner a month for a kick off)
PS The AOL Telephone Service = Talk Talk service (which is inexpensive)

The Broadband Price is cheaper than Dialup now (and Much easier to set up) AOL will send you the whole Kit to swap over (Price?) Free so long as you continue with AOL for another year.

like others I had some probs with AOL/talktalk when I joined and now find I am getting on ok. I just wanted a change from Wanadoo and for no other reason, and would not hesitate to go back.
