Does anyone know of any sites that allow you to search the electoral roll for free. I know of sites like 192.com, but these now charge for information.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Matt,
I can't help you with the Electoral Roll, but for a business search, I think Google Local Search takes some beating.

The Electoral Roll is the responsibility of individual local authorities, so it depends whether the LA for the area you are interested in has put the information on-line. Same with the Council Tax Register. Try the web site of the Council you are interested in and see if there is a link there.

It's a touch Olde Worlde but why not take a trip to your nearest library, although they may only hold the local register. I understand they even have books there!

I couldn't find a totally free search that gave me results without any payment. Could you post a URL please.

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really? Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.
